I've been going to Aspen Dental in Danville, Il for a while now (since around February of 2021, I think). I remember nervously scheduling my first dental appointment in close to 25 years, and wondering whether or not I would make it out alive!
Fast forward 4 years or so later. Not only did I make it out alive, but I consider myself fortunate to have found a dental facility that both does fantastic work and has friendly staff.
I have seen different dentists in my time going there, but every one has been great. Whether it was the one who spent multiple appointments preparing my mouth for a new bridge (that not only fit like a glove and lined up perfectly with the other teeth, but also matched the color of my surrounding teeth exactly-and my teeth aren't the brightest shade of white, either!) or the ones who numbed my mouth so well that I never felt any pain (even when the grinder came out!), I can absolutely conclude that they know what they are doing here.
There are also the usual staff that I see there, too, like the receptionists and the Dental Hygienist who always cleans my teeth (thank you again for always being so awesome!). Out of respect for your privacy, I don't want to name names, but you all know who you are. I appreciate you so much!
One of the lasting memories that I'll have of this place is when they extracted one of my funky wisdom teeth. It was jutting out of the back of my mouth, and originally, they told me that I would need surgery to get it removed. However, some time later, I was told that the dentist who was there at the time could extract it without surgery, so I bit the bullet and scheduled the extraction. As he began extracting it, he started humming a little tune (I think I heard him say that this helped him work well), and sure enough, after about a minute or two, he pulled it out. I thought that was pretty odd at the time, but now, I just laugh about it. Just like my past experiences with extractions, they did such a great job with the numbing that I only felt pain after it wore off hours later (the pain was a solid 8 or 9 out of 10 at that point, but after taking some aspirin and sleeping without issue through the night, I woke up to only a very mild pain).
I know this review has gone a little long, but I wanted to share some of the great experiences that I've had at the Danville Aspen. Suffice it to say, I would very highly recommend them to anyone!
I broke a small piece off my partial. I didn't get them there, but my place I got them did not have a lab technician. I went to Danville and they were more than happy to help. They did a great job and less than 2 hours. They adjusted them so they fit good. Really appreciate all they did.
