Everything Was Excellent

I’m new to this area and was recommended Aspen Dental as it was a dentistry within my insurances network. I went online to make an appointment for extremely tooth pain due to a broken tooth. The appointment was not far out at all, it was within 5 days, I did call the office and ask that if anything sooner came available to please let me know because I was in severe pain, and my pain tolerance is pretty high! She called me back within 2 hours with a sooner appointment, went to the appointment, took the X-rays, Dr Wilson seen immediately that the tooth needed to be extracted and gave me the option of that day, or coming back. I myself chose to come back due to the fact that there was a small pocket of infection and I wanted to do a round of antibiotics to ensure the numbing meds worked properly. Fast forward, that next appointment got rescheduled until 2 days from now. Well last Wednesday I ended up at Fastened because now I started developing an abscess🤦‍♀️ from last Wednesday until yesterday it had not doubled but was definitely 5 times the size it had started at. The pockets in my gums were starting to pass the gum lining and grow over the top of my teeth, my cheek was full of infection, under my eye was beginning to swell also. So yesterday I was worried, especially with it growing closer to my nasal and to my eye, I called the office. When they answered I asked if I could come in sooner due to an abscess, she put me on hold came back and said Dr Wilson was going to send another prescription for antibiotics, that’s when I told her I had been on them for 5 days now, and the abscess has done nothing but grow and it was at the point of needing to be drained. I was put on hold for a brief second and then was told to come to the office NOW, in which it felt like they gave me no other option. I left work and went straight to the office, they took me back as soon as I walked in, the dental assistant was amazing at listening to me and hearing that I was kinda anxious due to the way it all happened. But Dr Wilson came in numbed the areas, the abscess ruptured immediately, he let me set for a bit to let the numbing meds attempt to work, came back tested to numbness and listened to me when I was in distress, because infection makes the numbing meds not work properly, went in again with more numbing and ready to finish the draining and tooth extraction immediately, I did ask for a minute because I was unsure of it the meds were working in which he did such that, and said “ let me just wiggle the tooth a little more and see where we are” the second he knew I wasn’t feeling anything from the “wiggling” he reached for the clamps and pulled it right out I didn’t feel anything. He was amazing. He listened watched and heard me. I couldn’t ask for more than that. The staff there from the first visit and on had been awesome and very kind. Going to the dentist is stressful and can be scary, but they definitely make it better here at Aspen! I will be going back to start back up my every day normal dental visits!

The facility was very nice. The staff were just wonderful. They took the time to listen to me and I didn't feel rushed out. I was more than pleased with my visit.
